Zine from the Helsinki workshop august 2009 is out.
The stories in the album were created during a 2009 two-week workshop in Helsinki. The unifying theme between them is the Finnish capital itself. For two weeks the artists got to know the city, and each other, by working together at the Helsinki Comics Centre.
The participating artists were professionals from Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, together with a few local amateurs. This workshop was the start of the Nordicomics.info project. Our main goal is to facilitate networking between the respective comic scenes of the Nordic countries. After the initial Helsinki workshop, similar events will be held in other Nordic cities in the spring of 2010.
