Clara Bessijelle Johansson

Clara Bessijelle Johansson (SWE)  is a cartoonist born and living in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work is usually about odd characters who spend their time in richly illustrated environments.

Clara has published the comics The Lobster King and A Butler Named Hawk which she exhibited at the MoCCA festival 2009/2010 with Buenaventura Press and Sparkplug comics. She collaborated with Emelie Östergren on the book Mexicansk Gränsö and has been included in such European publications as Allt för Konsten, C’est Bon and more. She just finished an illustration project about Nelly Sachs for the Jewish Theatre in Stockholm.

Clara Bessijelle Johansson participated in the Nordicomics workshop and exhibition in St. Petersburg 2010.
